Safeguarding our Environment

Renewable energy sources are those which are continually being replaced, such as energy from the sun and wind.

If an energy resource is being used faster than it can be replaced (i.e. coal which can take millions of years to form) then it will eventually run out. This is called a non-renewable energy source.

I am an advocate for the use of renewable energies such as wind power and solar energy.

The Blue Mountains must remain nuclear free. We must say NO to:

  • the transporting of waste from nuclear power stations through the Blue Mountains
  • the dumping of long-lived radioactive waste from nuclear power stations
  • the building of nuclear power stations
