Well considered, environmentally responsible development helps to stimulate our local economy and to renew our villages. The problem we face however is that many developments approved by Council seem neither well considered nor environmentally responsible.

I am not anti-development. I am an advocate for sensible development that reflects community views and needs. If elected to Council I will:

• Support sensible development strategies that reflect community views and needs.
• Support the review of Local Environment Plan 2005 to ensure it is in keeping with community views and reflects the unique environmental conditions in the Blue Mountains.
• Ensure all developments fully comply with existing Planning Guidelines and are regularly audited during the building process.
• Not support developments that require spot re-zonings.
• Advocate for the retention of planning approvals at a Local Council level.
